Freelance Writing Jobs - June 24, 2008
June 24, 2008 – 12:36 pmYesterday we looked at some new blogging jobs. Today let’s do something different. Here are some places where you can regularly sell your content, or networks that you can join (some of which pay outright fees, some of which pay based on revenue share, and some that offer a combination). Please note that being included here does not mean that I support, promote, or advocate any of these sites personally - they’re simply available resources that freelance writers can use to make money beyond job ads:
- Associated Content (you choose whether to offer exclusive or non-exclusive rights - some content can receive up front payments, but they also have a compensation program based on pageviews)
- Constant Content (they don’t pay you directly - you add your content, and sell to secondary buyers - an option if you have pre-written articles waiting to be sold)
- About.com (the largest of the content networks - they offer base pay plus incentive-based pay, based on pageviews at my last check)
- Suite101.com (another network - they pay based on revenue share, or at least did at last check)
- Xomba (pays through Google Adsense revenue share)
- b5Media (a blog network)
- Creative Weblogging (another blog network)
- Helium (the more you post, the more you can earn - it’s apparently partly based on ad potential and traffic - there’s also a more direct marketplace)
- JustAnswer (experts get paid to answer questions)
